This wonderful guesthouse is placed inside the Lijiang Old Town, so the location is perfectly central and also quiet beacuse the guesthouse stands at the end of a tiny street. To go outside the old town you have to walk about 5-10 min. and there you can catch DiDi (taxi) or a bus. The helpful service is, next to the property location, another strong point of this place. Everything can be done for you there: they will book a bus ticket for you if you don't know how or you simply don't want to due to language barriers; they will help you with your luggage when you arrive (beacuse cars are not allowed in the old town district); they will order a food to you when all nearby restaurants are closed due to late hour. Breakfast was also very good - you can choose local or western option.

First, let me talk about the service—it was excellent. The owner came out early to greet us at the entrance and even helped with our luggage. They also gave us great tips to avoid tourist traps. Knowing our group was large, they proactively upgraded our room.
As for the amenities, the room had a bathtub—something many places don’t offer—along with a huge, very modern bathroom. The drinking water system was advanced, and both the air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly. Even the mirror had built-in lighting! The stay was incredibly comfortable.
The location was also ideal—right in the ancient town. For those who enjoy exploring local markets, it’s super close to Zhongyi Market, making it convenient for early morning outings.
Lastly, the price was unbeatable! (Oh, I almost forgot to mention the courtyard—it had such a charming vibe, exactly my style. Sadly, we only stayed one night.) I’ll definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

A charming choice with a great location. It features a very clean and local style, incorporating traditional Chinese design. The staff are helpful, providing assistance with any needs and offering recommendations for travel plans. The price-to-quality ratio of this hotel is very good, though it seems to be about 5 times what it would cost if set up from the same area or the hotel itself.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, we feel like stay at home. Especially Xiao He, he has been very helpful to assist with our request in arrange for our private van, he is very informative to make sure we can enjoy the most with the stay. Our first time visit Lijiang has been wonderfully. I will come and stay with them again if come to Lijiang.

The hotel was beautiful and had a very traditional style with great attention to detail, it also had a fantastic view of the old town and was in a great location. Jimmy was a fantastic ambassador for the hotel and a really welcoming host. He is truly an asset to the hotel.

This hotel is absolutely splendid. It occupies an area as large as a neighbourhood. It's right within Lijiang Ancient Town, possibly the most beautiful old town in China. There's a main building with the lobby, the restaurants, the cafe and the spa but the rooms are scattered around the property is small pavilions.
I got a free upgrade to a Premium Room which was the most beautifully decorated hotel room I've ever had. The room was spacious, very quiet and had everything I needed. I felt that the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. There was a bathtub and a shower in the room. A room of this quality would cost around 1800 € in Europe.
The choice at breakfast was huge.
Overall this is a luxury hotel, well above the average of the worldwide five-star standards, yet you would need to pay considerably more for this quality almost anywhere in the world.
