Merry is one of the most professional hosts we have had on our trip. We felt well taken care of. She helped us organize the trip individually accourding to our wishes and the current situation in the national park. Took all our preferences in consideration. Helped us to do the laundry for free. The food is great and the location near the west entrance of the national park ist perfect. Our stay was in November and we didn't have to wait in a queue for the entrance as opposed to those entering from the south gate. This home stay is definitely recommened for a trip in the Zhangjiajie national park.

We've just returned from a thoroughly delightful stay. The hotel is perfectly situated for the national park – one simply walks out of the gate and one is there. It's all terribly convenient. Our room was spotlessly clean and remarkably comfortable, offering a rather lovely view of the peaks. The swimming pool was a godsend after a day's walking, and the grounds with the little stream are quite charming. What really made the difference was the staff. So helpful and polite, without being intrusive. They provided excellent advice on routes and handled the ticket bookings seamlessly. The breakfast was rather good, too – a splendid start to the day. All in all, a most agreeable and well-run establishment. We should not hesitate to recommend it to fellow travellers.

I'm so happy! Every day from entering the scenic spot to leaving the scenic spot, are Longjing pick-up, I especially like to call her name. Living here is like feeling safe and relaxed at home. I love everything and the beauty here.

First of all, the location: the house is situated just inside the Zhangjiajie Forest National Park, by the West Gate. If you plan to really see the Park, this is the best place to stay for sure since it does take a good hour from Zhangjiajie City to reach. Instead of getting up super early every day, we could easily just walk outside the house and wave for the bus to stop and let us on, then we’d drive maybe 5 minutes (if at all) and arrive at the cable car station. The facilities are amazing, too. The room was beautiful and nicely renovated and it even had one of those neat automatic toilets. The house had multiple seating areas outside, like a terrace and a pool (which was closed since it was the low season), but our absolute favorite was the patio by the river. It’s so peaceful and idyllic and really lets you appreciate the natural scenery. Secondly: the food! Delicious breakfast and dinner! Most importantly: our hosts! These people are the warmest, kindest, most gracious hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Especially Nihong. Our time in Zhangjiajie would not have been the same without her. She was our tour guide for the first two full days, showing us so much of the park we would have never seen otherwise. She took time out of her day for us for three straight days just to make sure we had the best possible experience. We learned so much about Tujia culture as well, which was so interesting. Her English is so good and she was always interested in learning more, and in turn she helped us learn a few Chinese words and phrases. And her husband drove us to the Railway Station when we had a very early train to catch, which was such a big help. We could not have been more lucky with these kind people! All in all, if you’re thinking of staying here, please do! You won’t regret it. We certainly hope we can return one day! Xiexie! Wo ai ni Zhangjiajie!

This was honestly one of my favourite stays of all time and I have stayed at a lot of hotels. Lucas is extremely friendly and helpful with park routes and the hotel is located in a very peaceful part of ZJJ away from the busier areas. They also have a pool table, outdoor pool, and laundry facility. Hope to stay again in the future. :)
