From my personal perspective, Mandarin Oriental Munich is by far the best hotel in the city. This is my fourth stay here, and each time it convinces me even more that it is the perfect choice—it has never disappointed me. The greatest thing is the location next to the Marienplatz with wonderful Christmas Market and a short walk from the opera, which I enjoyed very much. The atmosphere, nice Christmas decorations and the beautiful natural Christmas tree next to the beautiful tiled stove in the restaurant made a special atmosphere. And it is very close to the best Munich's shopping centers and boutiques, it was Black Friday :)
Great breakfast with delicious local sausages and pretzels, amazing flat white with vegan milk instead of regular breakfast coffee normally served at hotels.
