It was a great location in the city and still close to the colonial zone. The apartment was good with all the amenities needed. The view is just as unobstructed as it is in the pictures. I parked my car there during the nights i stayed there, and it was completely fine. As a solo traveler, i felt safe in the building, most importantly.
The Catalonia Santo Domingo is a sensational 21-storey building that is located oceanfront at George Washington Avenue, 30 minutes from Las Americas International Airport and only a few minutes away...

Love you Catalonia! That was not my first time in Catalonia, I come back here because it is the best :
1. Breakfast - just formidable, the salmon, choice of cheeses, fresh juices, the manager who is in charge does a great job!! I have been to other hotels, and here it is incomparably better.
2. Room is with great sea view, comfortable bathtub and excellent shower with hot water (believe me, sometimes it is an issue in other places!)
3. The reception zone is so spacious, love the design of the building with glass elevators!

We stayed in room 200 and it was very hot because the AC faces to the door so the room doesn't get cold. This however was resolved when we got a fan ASAP which made it more comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, fresh and very homely. I was really impressed by the quality and presentation of the room. The staff were so nice especially the two gentleman at the front, one has excellent English and translated for us. Another lady with braid hair was also so sweet. The cleaners and other staff at the hotel were friendly and I would recommend the hotel for this reason. The location was very good as we were next to the Colonial area, sea and everything was in reach! Beautiful hotel!

My stay was exceptional. The rooms are upscale and elegantly appointed. The hotel is apparently in a soft opening and the staff is genuinely friendly and attentive, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms offer spectacular views that take your breath away.
And the breakfast... without question, the best I have ever experienced in my life. A truly memorable stay.

The people working here are the nicest!!!! I have enjoyed my stay so much I extended it. The location is probably the best of the best in the city, next to a beautiful little park, and the bedrooms are extremely comfortable.
