Basic rooms but perfectly comfortable! Beds have 4 fleecy blankets on. We had a shared bathroom and you only shared with one other room. Absolutely spotlessly clean! The bathroom was cleaned before we even got up. We had washing done, which was done in just a few hours and smelt great. Breakfast was really good value. Definitely recommend paying a small price for this. The location was good, bars and restaurants close by. Easy to get into the old town. Bus terminal a little but far but very easy to get a bus too. Hotel itself very safe and secure with a gate and locked door which is manned 24/7. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Always a decent stay.Excellent city location in very quiet area with great mountain views.Close to all the necessities and Plaza Foch.Very attentive and gentle ladies staff.Builing is little older and floors creaky.It feels like a home.Highly recommend for your stay in Quito.

Everything! The owner and her team are incredible! They go out of their way to help. The Chef even helped with a heavy duffel bag, I’ve never seen hospitality like it and I work in the hotel industry. The food is incredible - breakfast, lunch and dinner and the chef at each meal period even delivers the food themself to explain each dish. English is widely spoken by the team also.

We had the premium room with a balcony, which was super beautiful and clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and we even got a hot water bottle for the night ❤️

Tambuca is a home away from home, staying there felt like being adopted by the wonderful family that runs the place. Everything, from bed to breakfast and from being greeted when leaving and coming back (you can’t leave the premises by yourself, the owners open the gate) to the game room and chats was genuinely great! If you prefer anonymity this place will probably not suit you, if not it will!
