Everything about this hotel was positive. The location was excellent. In the heart of the walls. This hotel is family owned, so they went above and beyond. Lobby and room were modern. Breakfast is availible. They have an elevator, which is important in old towns. St malo was a great place to spend a few days!

Great central location with good secure parking. Room was very nice,clean and comfortable. Good amenities. Staff were super. They were so welcoming and extremely helpful. They really were great. Didn’t make use of breakfast as had a very early departure.

room was clean, comfortable and in a great location in town. The breakfast was in the basement which feels like a cute dungeon-style area and they always had fresh croissants, breads, coffee, and all the small fixings you would expect. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is steeped in history - the oldest building in San Malo, it survived WWII, beautiful architecture, hotel, restaurant and bar. We booked a twin bedded room with a sea view. The views of the fort, beach and sea from our window were breathtaking. Room was a reasonable size as we expected based on our booking. Food in the restaurant was very good and the staff was very pleasant. The front desk receptionists were very helpful with booking taxis and providing advice for outings. The hotel was centrally located next to many restaurants as well as an entrance to the ramparts.

Hotel Maison Vauban is located next to the Saint-Vincent Cathedral in Saint-Malo.

A really excellent location inside the walls of St Malo. Nice and quiet area but close to the west wall for the sunset. The host gave great restaurant recommendations, we only wish we'd taken them!
