Tony contacted us and met us at the parking and brought our bags from parking to the location and the carried them up the three flights of stairs. The room was very nicely appointed with fridge and good shower. Location is excellent right across from silver gate of Diocletian’s palace.

Jelena is an absolute delight as a host. Sorted out breakfast for us when we had to leave early, gave us a top tip for Zoi restaurant (best food and cocktails ever!) and was on call for us at midnight via whatsapp when we had trouble with the lock (pull it tight before re-opening). The room itself was spotless, thoughtfully and beautifully designed, super comfy bed with choice of hard and soft pillows, amazing air con, access to Netflix. And a little lounge area for morning coffee. Breakfast in the courtyard was excellent with a choice of fruit salad, yogurt, meats, cheeses, pastries, cereal, coffee and juices. It was our best stay in Croatia and we did a tour of the country staying in 6 different places. All lovely. But this one was exceptional. Thanks Jelena 😀.

Milka and her husband are amazing hosts, they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was clean, cosy and well equipped, we had everything we needed. The location is absolutely unbeatable, just two steps away from the golden gate, yet we still slept well although we were in the centre of old town. Breakfast was served at a restaurant nearby and very good as well, you get three choices of meals, each with juice and a hot drink, just what you need to start the day. To make everything perfect, Milka's husband drove us to the airport, cheaper than a taxi and we had great company on the way. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Split!

The apartment was amazing and great value for money. There was so much space and we really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace. The location is perfect for exploring the city on foot. Jelena made us feel really welcome and recommended local restaurants for us to sample traditional Croatian food.
