The place was very quiet and peaceful despite of being in the middle of the city. During our stay, the only place that you will see the other guests was either in the reception area or pool. Most of the guest were old couple who love to read books beside the pool.
Plants and trees were everywhere. Seeing those greenery will ease all your stress.
I also love their restroom! There was an open space in the roof wherein fresh air are coming. The design was very unique and rare.
Foods were delicious especially the desserts.
Cottages were fabulous and classy. Its an old design but well maintained.
You can also smoke anywhere except in your room.
Overall, it was very relaxing and calming.

The location of the residence is great. The rooms was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic garden view.
The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful too.
Stepping through the lobby, i was amazed by the friendly and cosy reception area.

I Stayed in Kuta in 1980.Kuta and Legian have been thoroughly ruined by over-tourism . However; once past the security gate and inside the surrounding 15 ft fence, Poppie's looks remarkably the way it did then. So if there is a reason you have to stay in that area, Poppies has retained it's charm and is a gardeny oasis in the middle of and removed from the chaos in the street. Clean comforrable beds, working a/c and cable TV. It's good value and their restaurant isn't too far and cottage guests have use of their hotel pool
