Kastara Resort is extremely value for money. The room is amazing with a huge bathtub overseeing the forest, with privacy. Room is clean with good amenities, and the bed is comfortable. The infinity pool has an incredible view as well. Whatever you see in the photos are very close to what you actually get. Prior to the trip, I contacted their customer service, and Melani was very responsive and helpful. I arranged for the romantic dinner where we get exclusive space at the ‘boat-shaped’ balcony. They also kindly arrange for balloon decorations, and work with a florist to get flowers on my behalf. All of these were meant to be a surprise for my girlfriend. I reminded them not to spoil the surprise when we arrive at the resort. Thankfully, they communicated well with their entire crew, and nobody leaked the surprise! Every one of the crew was polite and helpful. They also arranged tours, car rides, and bike rentals, all at competitive rates. The entire stay was such a treat and we would absolutely visit again.

Hit the jackpot booking this hotel. Very good food. Staff were very helpful and kind. Room was clean and comfortable and extremely good value. Glad I didn’t book a room with a pool since the main pool was big and never too busy. Spa services were exceptional. Close proximity to everything in Ubud via bike or taxi which are very cheap. We ended up staying at this hotel the whole time and travelled round the island from there which didn’t prove to be an issue. About an hours drive to most places. The highlight aside from the staff was definitely the view every morning waking up to a forest of palm trees which also meant it was always peaceful and quiet.

I stayed here as part of my honeymoon in Bali. I had booked this as my last hotel of the trip. I was received by an excellent host at the front counter who looked after us even though we arrived quite early. The rooms are large sized, and a nice flower bath was set up for us! The bathrooms are very big and sleeping in the bed was peaceful. I had arrived from another Hotel in the area which completely disappointed me, this was the opposite, I was impressed immediately. The private pool was also a nice addition as well as the evening complimentary cake and chocolate. The view from the pool is absolutely stunning with full privacy. The restaurant is well priced and the Spa was cheap compared to other 5 star resorts. The mini bar was reasonably priced and it's the only place I found providing a decent full English breakfast with beans! (All you can eat) The staff are amazing here and really give the place a welcoming vibe. They all seem like genuinely nice people, from the Spa to the Bar, to the restaurant, and the housekeeping. I couldn't have asked for a better service. I would like to personally thank Anngii and Gung Gek, who were the loveliest people and made our stay exceptional and memorable. I will look to return to Bali and stay at this resort.

This place was honestly a dream! the view was breathtaking and the space was so open and relaxing. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. Every single one of them was kind, helpful, and always smiling. They went above and beyond to make everything perfect, even arranging transportation for me. The food they provided was also delicious and presented very well. The location was perfect to enjoy some quiet and get fresh air and a mesmerizing view of the jungle and the rice fields.
