The Bhadra Kali Guesthouse was located *just* on the most important ghat in Vārānasī, with amazing views to boot! We had our own balcony with a view straight on the Ganga and some temple towers to boot, could not have asked for anything better! Wide and comfortable bed (with the exception of the pillow which was shared for two people, a slightly weird arrangement - we didn't ask for anything else though!), hot water worked well, very good price, good food, helpful and friendly staff, everything was very okay indeed! The view from the roof terrace was even grander than the balcony, haha! Special thanks for helping us with our train tickets as we went on to Gaya and Bodhgaya! The staff helped us smooth and easy. :) An excellent choice all around! Heartily recommended!

Located 2mn walk from the main gath (dashashwamedh), the room was essential, cozy, and clean. Sonu has been a fabulous host, he showed us around the city, explaining history and lore. Answered every question, and he has been a great reference point throughout the whole vacation. We'll come back for sure!!!

The hotel location was perfect, just a short stroll from the Assi ghat which is where the action starts! In a quiet location which is hard in Varanasi! The staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay very special. We would recommend it!

Right on the Ganges 5 minutes from the main Ghats. Staff were fantastic! Made us feel very welcome. There is no transport all the way. You have to get a taxi to the main road and walk about 15 mins through the alleyways. Easy to find on Google maps though. Sanjay was absolutely marvellous, acting as our guide for our stay. Making sure we had everything we needed. He got us a prime seat for the Arti and explained everything in detail, took us to the burning ghat, sorting food and taxis and a sunrise private boat for £20. Even loaned us a plug and charger. Can’t recommend enough for service, location and hospitality.
