We had an extremely pleasant stay at Hotel La Plaza. The staff are very friendly, professional and mindful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The location is very central. The breakfast buffet that consists of mainly South Indian staples is really good. It’s a big plus to have Minerva Coffee Shop in the same building. Everything at this hotel is maintained at a very high standard.

The hotel is luxurious and the staff are well trained and welcoming. Breakfast is a feast, offering food types from around the world. We had a large Club Room and enjoyed the evening supper and drinks at the Marco Polo Lounge. Most guests seemed to be business people, in small groups, and the tone of the Club was quiet and relaxing, but a tad serious. We were tourists, and appreciated the genuine warm welcome we received each night from Azmat. Azmat always welcomed us with a big smile and remembered our seating and wine preferences. He was the brightest spirit in the room and always made our visit special, without overwhelming the general atmosphere of the Club. As we were first time tourists to Hyderabad, we were grateful for the advice and help received from the Concierge Kishore. He organised cars and drivers for us, and provided suggestions and clarification of the sites we planned to visit. In particular, he clarified the visiting rules for the former British Residency, which we had high on our list of places to see. He phoned a travel colleague and completely reversed the visiting arrangements which are to be found generally online. We were so grateful to him.
