The place was beautiful and clean, lovely decorations and really confortable! Croissant, cakes and nice cappuccino for breakfast. A relaxing garden with olive trees and white roses. The lady in charge was kind and helpful!

Excellent staff and very welcoming. Always willing to help when asked ie. restaurant bookings, travel advice, transport information etc. I had to extend my stay at late notice. Was no problem, and the hotel was able to meet the same rates as my original booking and teh bonus of not having to move rooms. I would strongly refer those travelling to Assisi to try this hotel. Clean room, friendly staff, family atmosphere. We used this hotel for our trip base around Umbria, Toscana and Marche. It was the best choice we have ever made on Booking.com. We greatly recommend this hotel to all who travel to Umbria and want to discover this part of Italy. Just below Assisi it makes this hotel an excelent choice for all who want to see the origins of St.Francis. Also, when we decided to take a one day trip to Rome by train, hotel staff prepared us the food for the trip. We have never felt more at home as we did in this hotel. Definately will come back!

Staying at Sottoassisi - Guest House was an exceptional experience. The location is ideal — right in the historic center of Assisi, close to major landmarks like the Basilica of Saint Francis, yet quiet and peaceful for a restful stay. The guest house is full of charm, with beautifully preserved details and modern amenities. My room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-equipped. I used Sottoassisi as a base to explore a wide range of Umbrian towns and cities, and it worked perfectly for that purpose. From here, I visited Perugia, Orvieto, Gubbio, Foligno, Città di Castello, Spello, Spoleto, and Trevi — all within a reasonable driving distance or accessible by train. Each day ended with a peaceful return to Assisi, making it the perfect anchor for my Umbrian adventure. The hosts were warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel at home. They provided excellent recommendations and were always available for any questions or needs. If you're planning to explore Umbria, I can't recommend Sottoassisi - Guest House enough. It combines comfort, location, and hospitality in a truly unforgettable way.
