Staying at Hotel Castrum during our visit to Grado was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The room were extremely comfortable and well air-conditioned, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel itself is new and modern, with a very convenient elevator that added to the ease of our stay. Its location in the heart of the old town was ideal—everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. At the same time, the hotel is tucked slightly off the main streets, so we were spared the noise and bustle, which made for peaceful evenings. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. A special thank you to the lovely Polish lady who showed us where to find a fantastic free beach and recommended a restaurant with the best Neapolitan pizza in town. Another staff member went out of her way to lend us her personal bottle opener when we needed one. These small but meaningful gestures made us feel so welcome and well cared for. We were also impressed with how the owners accommodated our need for secure parking, going out of their way to arrange it for us. The breakfasts were fantastic—everything was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the outdoor tables, savoring our meal under the open sky, surrounded by the charm of the Italian old town. As for Grado itself, the town is simply extraordinary—full of grace, elegance, character, and authentic charm. It’s a place that leaves a long lasting impression, and I truly hope to return one day. When I do, I will undoubtedly choose to stay at Hotel Castrum again. To the owners and staff, thank you so much for everything. Super friendly helpful people. I had bike trouble on the way and it was touch and go if I would make it . They were really helpful and communicated my options . Much appreciated. Great location . Great value

Staff was super friendly, the room very beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was a great bike garage and breakfast was very delicious. The hotel was very recently renovated so it all was very new and nice.

The accomodation was really perfect! Clean and cozy, perfect location and super nice staff.

Great place, everything you need is in walkable distance. Rooms are clean, with working AC. Very tasty breakfast and the owner is very nice and helpful :) He gave us clear information about our check-in before arrival.

Very nice and tidy rooms with soul. We only stayed one night, but would love to come back. The breakfast is excellent, the lady at the reception is very friendly. You can rent bikes for free. A bike ride to Grado is highly recommended. The drive is short and offers wonderful views and nature. Thanks for everything ☺️

The apartment was very nice, even on the sofa bed it was very comfortable to sleep. The breakfast in the nearby bar was also very good and the included parking was a nice bonus. The accommodation is in a great location with everything within walking distance. Betty was a super helpful host, we will definitely be back!
