Oni no Sumika is a beautiful resort. The rooms and garden are thoughtfully designed. Staff provided excellent and personal service. Shout out to Manager Yawata who took us on a whole-day tour. Would love to visit again

I booked this ryokan to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday. This is the first time we have stayed at a ryokan, and the stay has exceeded our expectations! The ryokan itself is a national cultural asset, indeed the interior is absolutely stunning, with lots of nature and a pond where you can feed the koi. Our room was Japanese style with a river view, the view is impressive. The onsens inside the ryokan are very comforting, as well as the kaiseki dinner and the hearty breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

In the Shuzenji Onsen district of Izu, close to Shuzen-ji Temple, Hostel Knot has a shared lounge and a washing machine.

The hotel's location was quite convenient. A short bus or cab ride from Shuzenji station. From the hotel, it was a lovely stroll to Shuzenji Temple nearby. What stood out to me most was the staff's genuine hospitality. They didn't speak much English but were very accommodating at all times. Neither my mom nor I eat beef, so with advance notice, they replaced beef with lobster. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Although the public bath was small, it was cozy and well-equipped. It was a shame we only stayed one night.

Very interesting place. It was a first time in ryokan for us, so it was really a new experience. Very remarkable atmosphere, authentic and with a huge politeness. Unforgettable personnel. We also took the dinner and the breakfast, and that's also a must.

Such a unique place. Enjoyed finally having some comfy couches to relax in! Very well fitted out with absolutely everything you could need. Centrally located to all the sights. This would be a great place for a group of people as there is so much seating and even two kitchens. Highly recommend.

Amazing premises, staff was helpful and nice, private onsens were great (especially the open air one), dinner brought to the room was great, great drink list. The room was beautiful and cleab. We got to wear yokatas and go on a walk with them on. Breakfast was great. Shuzenji as a place, and especially the onsen village, was beautiful. The surrounding mountains and trees made the place feel like from a movie. Price was alright considering how nice the place was.

Great peaceful location with superb public and private onsen. Fantastic choice at buffet and lovely helpful staff with English. We did a great paper making course nearby and walked up to Mt Fuji viewpoint. Beautiful small onsen town. Easy cab or bus ride from railway station.

It’s a very quiet place, not crowded area. The breakfast served is excellent.
