The room was generous in Japanese standards. The location is to the west of the busy shopping area of Kyoto but not too far to walk to. The best part facility is definitely the public bath that is open form 15.00 to the following morning 10.00. Absolutely excellent. After a sweaty day outside it is amazing to soak in the hot bath and even in the morning it allows a relaxed start to the day.

My wife left her purse in the cab. We asked the hotel staff for help because the cab was caught on the street and we didn't take a receipt for the trip, so we didn't know the name of the cab company. The girl at the front desk first called all the cab companies in Kyoto and then contacted the police. Our bag was found there. The hotel staff member made every effort and helped us a lot. We would like to thank her for that and say that we would love to come back to this hotel again!

Such a beautiful place to stay and quite a cultural experience. They gave us a welcome snack which consisted of a cup of tea and a Japanese sweet which I thought was a great touch. We didnt have dinner but the breakfast came with the room and it was exceptional. Not too heavy but all side dishes were well thought out. We took a taxi to go back to Kyoto Station, but 3 staffs stayed with us until the taxi arrived and also sent us off till our taxi was out of their sight.

Amazing design, very clean, stylish and well-thought rooms. Lots of details that made our stay comfortable and pleasant. We stayed at Hollywood corner room, it was rather spacious for Japan. Nice sleeping robes provided by the hotel. Would love to buy them🫶🏻
The breakfasts were also delicious, good value for money.
Also the location is just perfect. We also loved the guide provided by the staff with suggestions on food places and tourist attractions, including shops. Bought chopsticks in the shop they recommended!

Fantastic stay! Clean and beautiful hotel with large rooms and comfortable bathrooms. Personal was helpful and always smiling. Restaurant was absolutly perfect in every way, bakery in lobby was top and roof top bar was cozy and with fantastic view. We will come back!

Loved the personal touch of the owners. They really go out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They are great with recommendations as well.
Also the location was bang on. It was in the middle of One of the main places in Kyoto. Very close to a bus stop as well.
