Brilliant stay! We loved the authentic ryokan feel with the tatami mats. We booked the kaiseki dinner which I’d highly recommend as it was so delicious. Staff were brilliant, took time to explain everything. The onsen was lovely and my first experience of it in Japan! Room was so spacious and clean. Nice quiet neighbourhood close to subway station.

I't literally one minute walk from Kyoto Station, and somehow is in a quiet street. The lobby is a beautiful art installation. The room (and the bathroom!) was big and modern, everything was controlled with a built-in iPad Mini. But hands down the best feature of the hotel is the polite and friendly staff, going beyond even what you are accustomed to in Japan.
