Beautiful structure a few steps from everything and well connected by public transport. Very clean room, very comfortable Futons. I relaxed a lot, it was a beautiful experience that I absolutely recommend doing in this Ryokan. The staff welcomed us in a wonderful way, very kind and helpful. I appreciated everything. A wonderful place for those looking for the real Japan. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff for the beautiful memory.

First class experience from start to finish! Everyone working at The GrandWest were incredibly welcoming and we cannot fault their focus on customer service, whether helping us with bike rental (free for 2 hours) or providing towels/discounts, etc for the local Onsen. The breakfast was delicious and they had a great array of teas/coffees available for free. The quality of materials used in and around the hotel were sustainable and stylish and the roof garden a lovely idea. The location was ideal, a short stroll (5/10 mins) from the key locations on our itinerary in Arashiyama, which is the most gorgeous place. Thanks again to everyone at The GrandWest. 10/10

Lovely place, just outside the tourist area. Very easy accessible by 2 train stations. With a few steps you are in the middle of nature and must see temples. By train you are in Kyoto in 25 mins. The house has everything you need, the onsen is just perfect.

The stay was around tranquil setting, close proximity to public transport and attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room's immaculate, comfortable beds, spacious with home theatre facilities, a great variety of toiletries, and the complimentary breakfast breads and juices were all good.
