Great stay with kind and attentive staff. Great breakfast, with views. Calm onsen. Bonus points for the yukata in the room with a guide how to wear, and how to tie the obi. The Arashiyama area is lively in the day, during the evenings and night it is very calm and you can barely see anyone outside, which adds to the vibe but if you want some late night snacks just know this.

Conveniently located a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, The GrandWest Arashiyama offers spacious accommodation in Kyoto.

The breakfast was great with an option for vegetarians. The location is a bit far from the city, but near the bamboo forest and train stations, which fit our needs.

This home stay is one of my favorite during the 14 days stay in Japan. I love the fact that the kitchen was so well equipped with all cooking utensils- equivalent to the ones that I am using at home. Beautiful hotel with the best location ever. 3 minutes from the monkey park and 10 minutes from the bamboo forest! The staff were amazing, especially Chikako!! She was the best and so nice, helped us with everything with a beautiful smile on her face!

The stay was around tranquil setting, close proximity to public transport and attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room's immaculate, comfortable beds, spacious with home theatre facilities, a great variety of toiletries, and the complimentary breakfast breads and juices were all good.
