Despite arriving later than planned, we encountered no issues with check-in. The property boasts a prime location right beside the Nakasendo trail, offering stunning mountain views from the rear. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable.

Just 40 metres from restored Edo-era post town Magome-Juku, Chaya Hotel has simple traditional rooms with futon bedding and a tatami-mat floor.

We loved our stay at Magome Chaya, especially the communal dinner and breakfast with all the guests! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend staying here if you plan to stay in Magome.

It is a very cozy, well equiped and big Apartment. It has everything you might need. The Host Takashi san is also very nice and has a massive collection of Vinyls that you can borrow and listen to. The neighborhood is quiet and there are Restaurants and Shops within Walking distance. Also the JR Station is 5 minutes away so you can get easily to the Nakasendo Trail. We would recommend staying in the guesthouse.

Masaya-san was an excellent host and chef. The grounds, the 150 year old house, the meals, everything exceeded our expectations.

Not only is the guest house absolutely beautiful, but the host was extremely helpful and hospitable which made this stay the best we had during our Japan trip. He drove us to Magome so that we managed to complete the Nakasendo trail just in time before the last bus departed. He also made a dinner reservation for us and drove us to an Onigiri restaurant for breakfast. We had a great stay!

Takimi Onsen Inn that only accepts one group per day features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 9.1 km of Otsumago and 9.3 km of Kotoku-ji Temple.

Fabulous property. We felt very welcomed. The space is amazing and private. The onsens are amazing ( inside and outside onsen) and overlook a waterfall. The food was fantastic . We would recommend this place as a great experience
