Not big but very cozy. Great taste in all small details. The view of the outdoor onsens are incredible. I brought two kids 1yo and 6yo. The staffs are very friendly and always helpful. Will come back again.

The amount of complimentary foods and drinks was crazy. Both the public and private onsen areas were absolutely spectacular. I also loved the hot spring foot bath next to the hotel entrance. Very cozy during the evening. Hotel staff was really nice. Restaurant dinner and breakfast were both amazing. The hotel rooms blew our minds.

The most comfortable & smart ryokan we stayed in across our entire trip. Room was immaculate (and spacious! Pretty much a small apartment), the food was lovely -- and the luxury of having a private bath directly overlooking the woods was an incredible experience. Staff were super accommodating on site (one of us had a knee injury, the staff kindly drove to where we were to pick us up, and also drove us to the bus station). Really serene spot in general.

Everything, the dinner and breakfast was probably the best Ryokan food I ever had (and I had many). The location was so close to everything, especially the bus station, and on the way we could always say hello to Taro-kun, the village shiba.
It was also really nice to be able to enjoy the private onsen with my partner.
I think the owners should also update the booking.com profile and add photos of the onsen and food as it would be beneficial, I have booked this based on the great reviews on both Google and Booking.com, but some people may pass on this lovely ryokan due to lack of photos.

The food was excellent, the outdoor onsen was amazing, and the lady who served us was incredibly kind and helpful (we left something on the bus, and she went out of her way to help us recover it). A truly lovely place!
