We had an amazing stay here, the in-room onsen was a great addition! We loved the Ryokan-style hotel, and we got a really nice surprise for our honeymoon from the staff, which was really thoughtful. The food was amazing, and the private outdoor onsens were very beautiful.

Writing this after coming back from Japan. Mozumo is the one place that made my trip 10 times better. Beyond the facilities and the insanely good food, It felt so special. Bear in mind this place is not for everybody as their checkin and eating times are very restrictive (because It's private setting), but I'm telling you It's all worth It. From the high-end van they picked me up with from the station to the huge room, the Michelin star food, the private onsen in the room, everything was magical. There is only one warning, try to be there while there is still snow and It's still cold, otherwise the onsen is gonna be way too hot. I was here alone, but can't think of a better place to stay with your partner for a cozy weekend too. One last thing: meals are served on a private setting (not a restaurant), and I had the most magical view of the snow while dinning and having breakfast. Unforgettable.

This is a beautiful hotel, clean, and with very friendly staff. It has private onsens as well as female and male ones. It's about a 10 min walk from the ski field and 5 mins from the bus station. The rooms are well heated and come with private bathrooms.

The staff was so kind and helpful. The food was just incredible, the best we had during our entire trip.

The view is even better than depicted in booking.com. The room is spacious and comfortable. They provided laundry machines inside the premise which is very convenient. The hotel provided vouchers to enter outdoor hot springs walking distance from the hotel, which was an amazing experience for me!

Hiratakan, located @ Hirayu Onsen we experienced the best ryokan. The check-in process was smooth. The room was super clean with great amenities. Hirataken is located 200 meter from the bus stand to Kamikochi. We were hiking Mt Hotakadake the next morning and the gentleman very kindly asked us to park our car at the hotel. We explored Hirayu in the evening and it was beautiful with free public onsens everywhere. In fact there is one onsen right opposite to Hirataken and we dipped our tired feet the next day after we finished our Mt Hotaka hike and it was so relaxing. We loved our stay at Hirataken and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

We arrived late in the evening, the lady receptionist was still waiting for us with a smile and dinner was kept for us in the room, thank you so much. We had a really good stay in our spacious room, comfortable futon, lovely onsen, and great meals. Wished we could stay longer.
