Really enjoyed my stay at the stylish Hotel Wood. Excellent location close to everything - the old part of town and even the station. The staff were over and above friendly and helpful, they even arranged for a lift to the station when I had to leave early after a snowstorm. The room is very stylishly decorated and comfortable. The bed was on the harder side but was surprisingly comfortable. It was very clean. The central sitting area with free beer and sake in the evening was a nice touch for relaxation. The onsen was really superb. Immaculate and very relaxing. The Japanese breakfast was delicious. Good value for money Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel and staff were exceptional. They arranged to collect us from the station which was a lovely touch. We were made to feel very welcome in the hotel. The room was lovely and spacious. The onsen was interesting to try. The Japanese breakfast in a private room was very special. Great location too.

The place was amazing. Was so spacious and all the little details were thought of including little treats on arrival and toys and blocks which our baby loved to play with. It was warm and inviting and the sauna and onsen were lovely to use. Location could not have been better.

Our hosts were amazing. Apple pie to welcome us and lots of information to help us plan our stay. The rooms are warm and cozy and the hot shower was great. A nice quiet location but so close to everything meant we walked everywhere. Shared a wonderful meal out with our hosts on our last night at one of their favorite local restaurants. We absolutely loved this little house. It's tucked away in a side street right off the main road, close to all the main points of interest in town. There were tea, coffee, water, and some small snacks waiting for us on arrival, which was a really nice gesture. All basic toiletries were also provided. We found the beds to be a lot more comfortable than expected, and the bathtub was especially welcome after a long day of walking in relatively low temperatures. The washer/dryer worked perfectly, and the detergent pods were provided. The hosts let us leave our luggage after check-out, which we really appreciated.

Excellent and beautiful property. It was bitterly cold when we arrived but the property inside was so welcoming and warm. It has very nice decor and was impeccably clean and tidy, every creature comfort is accommodated for. The location is excellent for walking through the wonderful town and easy to walk for meals. Would stay again and highly recommend. One of the best places we stayed in Japan.
