Great place to stay and experience kinosaki for the first time. Mr Hatchi and his staff were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. They also did an amazing job at providing me with full vegetarian meals for breakfast and dinner, I was so Impressed by the quality (and quantity!! I didn’t miss out on anything being a veggie). The rooms are a good size and ours had a lovely seating area with a view over the Main Street. The 2 baths in the property were amazing and you could use them privately in the afternoon/evening (great for me as I was too shy to go to the public ones!). The tea ceremony was lovely when we arrived and I was helped into my Kimono. The location is fantastic and Mr Hatchi even helped us with luggage on departure. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Onishiya Suisyouen offers beautiful hot-spring baths, a sauna and Japanese garden beside the Maruyama River.

Super warm and friendly staff. Went for the half board and the dinner was lavish and extravagant. Totally worth the stay! Free shuttle to the other 6 onsens along the street. Onsen hopping was a very unforgettable experience. Truly love the stay here

10 min walk from the station, this is a fabulous ryokan. The staff is really nice and accommodating, and the room is very traditional but still functional. There is a yukata and wooden shoes if you want to try them. The private baths are definitely a must, and the onsen pass provided by the staff is perfect to visit the 7 onsens of the town. You'll get a really copious japanese style breakfast and dinner.

Featuring a Japanese garden, hot-spring baths and a vase gallery, Mikuniya is 250 metres from JR Kinosaki-Onsen Train Station. The Japanese rooms have a DVD player and traditional futon beds.

We had the special guest room which was recently renovated and it was amazing. It's quite modern and clean and it's incredibly spatious and relaxing for the price. There is 4 private onsens which don't require reservations (you can enter as long as it is not already occupied) which was a massive bonus as, at the time we stayed, only one public onsen was open in the area.

Yamamotoya is a 7-minute walk from JR Kinosaki Onsen Station and a free 2-way shuttle is provided. It offers Japanese-style accommodation with a brewery, a hot-spring bath and free Wi-Fi.

We arrived in Kinosaki before check in and the very helpful and flexible, they took care of our luggage during the time before check in while we explored the town. Everybody treated us with such hospitality and gave us a personalised stay. If you stay at Yamamotoya you will definitely get a feeling for beautiful Japanese traditions and food. Bonus: they had wonderful beer from their own brewery.

The staff is extremely welcoming, very friendly, they have a translating device for any language barrier. I loved the driver who drove us from and to the hotel. And my favourite memory is the staff who bid us farewell everytime we headed to the town with the driver. The hotel felt like another family

Wonderful place and people! Everything was great. Arrived at peak sakura blossom and it was among the best places to see it on our trip. Staff recommendations about our walking routes and public baths were also very helpful. English language level of main staff members was high (the best we've met in Japan so far), so it made communication very easy. Adjusted breakfast for our needs and it was excellent both in terms of taste and experience. Will definitely come back again.
