Lovely hotel, well situated, clean, comfortable, the best thing is the staff at the reception,they were very helpful and kind especially Shahan, Fouad, and Nader ..Sawsan at the housekeeping department is very kind and helpful . We would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Matar residence is one of the greatest hotels I stayed at. All the staff are nice people and helpful. MR Michael is an amazing owner who is very professional and supportive. He makes staying here wonderful. This is another home away from home. I do recommend this place for everyone visiting Lebanon.

The location is amazing: Right in the center of the stunning Gemmayze neighbourhood we were lucky to find this peaceful oasis. Spacious rooms and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. Breakfast was great and you can start your day with hanging out in the Lost Bar watching the busy streetlife. Parking is available on a nearby parkinglot (paid seperately). Like all the buildings in this neighbourhood the Lost Hotel has no lift but the staff is happy to help you with your luggage. This is an authentic experience in Beirut and we will certainly put this on the top of our list when we return to this amazing, beautiful city.

From the moment I arrived, every single staff member I came into contact with during my stay made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The building itself was stunning, and my room was elegant and very clean - also, the wifi connection was strong and stable. The rooftop bar was a really cool space, and the barman even introduced me to Lebanese blue wine, which was delicious. The property owner happened to be on-site during my stay and told me a bit about the hotel's social enterprise and ethos - this alone makes me want to stay here again. I only wish I had more space in my luggage to bring home some of the local products on sale in reception. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I look forward to next time!
