Hidden Garden is a paradise! 2 mins from the beach with a lagoon in your backyard and free kayaks, we couldn’t have asked for more. The rooms are huge and comfy and clean. The breakfast is amazing and the owners are so epic. We loved our kayak to see the birds and we could’ve stayed forever! Don’t think about it - just book!

What an amazing place! We booked this for our honeymoon and the place exceeded all our expectations. We stayed in a tree house, the beds were amaaazing, definitely the best bed we had in Sri Lanka. We spent our days in the pool, at the beach and sometimes found the strength to leave this place of paradise to walk around town. The staff is amazing, they tend to all your needs and work super hard. Be kind to them as they only get one day off a month to go see their families. The place is located on a stretch of beach between the ocean and the lake but we barely saw any mosquitoes. We did spot a lot of wildlife, some that even got in out room so don’t book the tree house if you dont want animals 🤣 The house pets (3puppies, 2 dogs and a bunch of cats) are friendly and love to hang out with you to look at the sunset. What a life! We found it hard to leave and it will be a stay to remember.

It was our best accommodation so far in Sri Lanka. We were welcomed with a fresh coconut. The host was so friendly and the room was clean. The location is excellent, only a five minutes walk from the beach and cool restaurants. Would come back any time!

Closeness to the main turtle Beach and Rekawa Turtle association, 5 mins walk. Beautifully kept gardens the rooms look onto. Amazingly designed and thought out rooms for such a small area....no one overlooks each other, so you have lots of privacy.. Huge comfy bed and massive walking shower in the bathroom. Many lights to create your own ambiance. Loved our patio with wooden chairs and a separate large table where breakfast is served. Where we watched plenty of birds each morning. Ceiling fan rotated well and air-conditioning was super cold and powerful, rarity on our travels in SL. Decent fridge too. Fantastic local restaurant run by a sweet family called Ruwani 2 mins,walk away. Lastly the owner Tatoo kept us happy with cold cheap beer and water.

My partner and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Omia Hotel for five nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was serene and welcoming. The beach was truly breathtaking—untouched and pristine. We could walk along the shore for 30 minutes without encountering another soul. It’s the most peaceful and unspoiled place I’ve ever visited, making it a dream destination for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge. The staff at Omia were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. And the food—wow! The authentic Sri Lankan dishes were bursting with flavor. I highly recommend trying them; every meal was a delight. If you’re looking for tranquility, natural beauty, and warm hospitality, Omia Hotel is the place to be. We can’t wait to return!
