It was like an oasis in the middle of a bustling city. When you stepped through the doors, you were suddenly transported away from the busy streets of Marrakech into tranquility. We loved everything: the warm welcome, helpful host who gave us advice on where to go/what to expect/where to eat, the cleanliness & decor of the room, the comfy bed (so divine). The rooftop plunge pool was just a bonus to escape from the midday heat!

Our time in Marrakech was amazing!! We love the city and the people. This was only reinforced by the riad and the staff. The staff always asked us how we were and how our day was. It was so nice to get to know Husein, Jasmine, Salima, Achraf and Mounir. We miss you already. The room and the riad were beautiful, spacious, clean and enchanting. The room was also cleaned every day by the lovely cleaning team. The riad was quiet, in the morning you could hear the birds singing. The shower provided hot and cold water. The downstairs and upstairs pool were lovely, to take a dip or for a nice cooling foot bath. The beds were big and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. We got Beghrir (Moroccan pancakes), Moroccan Meloui/Malawach, omelette, cake, baguette and different fruit every morning. Also always delicious freshly squeezed orange juice and Moroccan mint tea. Salima was the sweetest and always asked if we needed anything. We arrived late in Marrakech. Nevertheless, a taxi was arranged by the riad to pick us up from the airport. We also booked a quad tour in the Agafay desert through the riad, which I can definitely recommend! The location of the riad is already the reason to book here. Only a 2-minute walk from Bahia Palace. And close to 2 different souks, which lead to Djemaa el-Fna. All in all, a wonderful stay with wonderful people. I would definitely come back to Marrakech and the Alrashid riad.

The place is stunning. There is bits and pieces of decoration everywhere but it works well. The roof is really great. Room was clean, staff helpful, Internet fast.

Set in the medina, just a 7-minute walk from Jamaâ El Fna Square, is the Dar Les Cigognes. Exotic trees are planted on the rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy a continental breakfast.
