The Don Rafa is a beautiful hotel, very well appointed throughout, absolutely stunning decor. We booked the Miramar Jr Suite, and plenty of room with living area with refrigerator and great large tv and couch, and bed comfy. Aircon good and not noisy at all. Decent continental breakfast in lobby, and gorgeous rooftop pool and cabana area we wish we had made more use out of. Very good restaurant on site, and lots of close by restaurants and bars.
Most of all we have to comment on the incredibly personable and friendly staff at the Don Rafa - all kind, funny, helpful and cheerful, always addressing you personally by name which really added the special touch. We felt very welcome and at home there, and would not hesitate to return if ever back in San Juan. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very modern and in a lovely area, with a big area next door with plenty of restaurants available. Theyngive a free shuttle to the beach and the Old Town.
Food and drinks at the WXYZ bar was lovely as well.
They gave discount vouchers to use as well.

Came to Puerto Rico for work and wanted somewhere near the office, glad I made the choice for a 8 nights stay. Felt like staying at a friend's place. Hosts were kind, helpful and patient, even drove me to the supermarket on my first night here. Had great conversations and were helpful to recommend me places to go in the city. They stay here as well so always available for you. Rooms were comfortable but in a shared apartment so manage your expectations, but for its price point, no complaints. You get to use their washing machine, iron, fridge, microwave and kettle so perfect for a longer stay.
