I was very impressed with the check in process. I was greeted warmly and provided a nice glass of lemonade. The restuarant was nice and the service staff was extremely professional. Here is an example: I accidently dripped some sauce on my short and the server went quickly into the kitchen and brought back a cleanser that took the stain off. There was a welcome basket of local fruit that was greatly appreciated and a thank you gift on check out (a locally made pottery dish).

A unique place with a unique atmosphere short distance from the heart of the medina. A wonderful terrace with beautiful view, a nice pool (cold water), where everyone can find a spot to relax. This place exceeded by far our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we felt like we went back in time. This boutique hotel is decorated with very very good taste, with antiques and lovely traditional items. The place is quiet, even though it is located in the medina, very close to the big mosque. The room, although not very large, was decorated in the same manner, creating a sense of peacefulness. We were welcomed by Ahmed, who was very friendly and helpful. When we return to Tunis, we will definitely stay in El Patio!

The accommodation is amazing; beautiful decorated, very comfortable rooms, a rooftop terrace with a nice view and a very tasty breakfast. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming. And also the location is great - in one of the moist vibrant streets of the Medina and a short walk to Kasbah square for taxi's.

Our stay at this property was in a word memorable. In fact, the host was a highlight of our vacation in Tunisia. He was exceptionally kind, considerate, and went to great lengths to make our stay at Dar El Rezk absolutely comfortable. As we'd planned to travel to El Jem from Tunis via train which got cancelled (the train got delayed over an hour, and we cancelled it), he drove us to El Jem and back for a minimal price. We'd have given up visiting El Jem of not for him. Later that evening, he and aunty prepared a traditional Tunisian dinner which was delicious. Superb hosts. Very reasonable pricing, and exceptional people. I guess this can be generalized to the people of Tunisia, very kind. About the property, its got all the basic, comfortable facilities, a beautiful courtyard with orange and lemon trees, great place.
