Everything 😊. Beautiful building and room, wonderful hosts (we were welcomed with fresh juice and snacks) in a very centraly located hotel. The freshly made full breakfast alone a reason to stay here. We ended up staying longer than planned. Ahmed, the host, and the lady helped us every step of the way, exceptionally friendly. The rooms are cleaned every day, with fresh towels etc. We will definately come back om a next trip.

Dar Hamouda is a charming historical dar in the best and liveliest part of the Medina of Tunis. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom modern. The hosts (Mrs. Amel and her husband) were wonderful and very helpful. We particularly liked the joint breakfast where you could meet and talk to other guests at the dar. This is always a good opportunity to exchange experiences and meet people when travelling.

Wonderful and quiet room right in the Medina. Incredibly nice people, they brought snacks and checked several times if everything was alright. Really a great accomodation to explore Tunis!

Property is full of character with great host Maruanne who has lots advice to help you get the best out of your stay. Sonia is the perfect housekeeper and a great cook. The medina is quite full-on but once you get used to it, it is by far the best place to stay in Tunis

Well equipped apartment on two levels: stairs up from the square, living room, kitchen and a toilet on first floor and bedroom and bathroom with shower on second floor. The kitchen had a gas-stove, oven, microwave and a big fridge-freezer, and plenty kitchenware. The wifi worked well, there was no shortage of hot water and there was also a washing machine which we really appreciated. The double bed and the couch were comfortable. Good communication with the friendly host and easy check-in. The location in the medina was ideal for us. Good value for money.

The hotel exceeded expectations. It offers 5-star service and room facilities, comfort and an excellent hammam offering a wonderful massage (and other services), as well as friendly and helpful staff. The quality of the room furnishings was of a high standard, the bathroom was immaculate, beautifully designed and stocked with toiletries. There was a wonderful welcome pack of snacks, chocolates, and even a range of tinned fish! The fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks, eggs, milk, and plenty of water. The hotel has lovely little outdoor spaces like the tranquil and beautiful courtyard with a fountain in the middle and a lovely roof terrace with views of the old city, where you can enjoy the tasty generous breakfast which consisted of a range of fresh pastries and cakes, omelette, cold meats, fresh seasonal fruit, gorgeous coffee, hot chocolate for the kids and lovely fresh juices. We left to go to hammamat for some days in a so-called “5 star” all inclusive resort and just wanted to go back to Dar Ben Turkia! If you want to be in the midst of the vibrant Medina with culture and history, as well as the hustle and bustle of the souk, while being able to escape to an intimate haven of luxury and comfort, this is the place for you!
