We really enjoyed our time at this resort. The staff are exceptional. Everyone is so focused on making sure that your stay is exceeding your expectations. There was some construction next door to our room and the staff were able to help us move our room. We ended up in a great 2-room villa (we were traveling with 2 families). The room was spacious, clean, and had great facilities.
Speaking of facilities, the pool was large and clean and the lifeguard staff were so helpful in getting people chairs and towels. There were always enough loungers for everyone and if there weren't, they got more. The staff at the beach were the same. The beach was quite dirty but that is not the fault of the staff! The waves were quite high and I wonder if that contributed to the water/beach pollution.
The food was decent but I'd recommend going out across the street if you wanted cheap and authentic food. We only ate by the pool and had breakfast there so I can't speak for the other restaurants. There was a lot of variety for breakfast- both western and eastern food.
The location is great if you want to be on the beach. They have a shuttle 3 times a day to the city and you can also use a Grab and be there in 15 minutes. As I mentioned above, there are a variety of restaurants just across the street as well as a mini-mart and a tailor. Further down on the beach, there are beach restaurants as well but they were quite empty when we walked there (could have been the time of year).
Overall, we'd definitely come back to this resort and have plans to do so next year.

One of the best hotels we've stayed in Vietnam. came here for one night and booked family suite room. very clean and very spacious.

The property is magnificent and the staff are wonderful, however one in particular was excellent “My”, I believe her name is. I was very sick during part of my stay and she went out of her way to help me order Pho and medicine. She was a life saver and a warm sense of home at Chiem.

Everything! The hotel is perfectly located near a quiet part of An Bang beach, just 2 minutes walking through another hotel territory and you can enjoy clean empty beach with white sand. If the beach is too hot, you can rest by the pool, which has sunbeds and natural shade.
The location is also good for exploring the surroundings: many sights are easily reached with a taxi, or you can grab a free bicycle from hotel (but beware the traffic, it's hectic). The staff give you a list of recommendations about local restaurants - there are quite a few in walking distance. Won't recommend Barefoot beach club though, got a bad food poisoning there.
All the nightlife and bars are in 15-min walk distance, so it's very relaxing and quiet at night.
The rooms are very clean and spacious (we got a free upgrade :)), the bed is very comfortable and air conditioning is effective. The breakfast is excellent! It's not buffet, but still has enough western and Vietnamese varieties you wouldn't get tired of it in 2 weeks. The cereals are the best!
The hotel also offers spa with a discount for residents, which is a nice touch after a busy day of exploring.
The owner/manager and the staff are exceptionally caring, this is the place we felt most welcome in Vietnam.

We booked 3 rooms. 2 with king beds and 1 with two double beds. All the rooms were clean and spacious. The pool and common areas were clean and comfortable.
Great location - short distance from the beach and plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

And the whole area was super quiet, there wasnt many houses or buildings around.
