Marianna was a superb host! She provided a beautiful, full breakfast each morning with anything you could want- fresh pastries, eggs, prosciutto, yogurt, fruit and of course... cappuccino/ coffee. The Relais was everything it stands for- a country escape- situated in the hills above Florence - providing a cool escape from the bustling, hot city. Our rooms were tended to everyday and bathrooms cleaned daily. But most of all, Marianna was interested in us and our travels and was very helpful with day trip suggestions. We became very friendly with her in no time. She made our trip feel more like a stay with friends/ family. We hope to continue to stay in touch with Marianna and Gennaro. They made our trip even more special than we had expected.

In one word - everything! It is such a charming country house in the middle of nature, on the hill overlooking Florence. The whole property has a character and so much charm, like being in a movie-set. The owner, Silvia, designed everthing in the house and around it with soul and so much descrete beauty. Breakfast made with all the local made food products, her own freshly baked bread and foccacia, pastry… such a delight! Junior suite was so spacious and comfortable for the three of us and a dog… it was more than we expected. Bed and pillows are so comfy, and the linen… so gentle and nice. Everthing here speaks its own language.

The quality of the sympathetic refurb was exception and demonstrated a passion for the building …The terrace overlooking Florence echoes its past as a home for one of the minor Medici family in the hills above the city… We visited the MotoGP at Mugello only 30 mins away … The attention to detail, is astonishing modern and ancient in harmony. There is a family restaurant very close by which is about as authentic Tuscan family as you could want … (biscotti to die for ) …

We loved everything, from the locality and quiet, to the views, the fantastic hosts who couldn’t do enough for us, and beautiful resident Sylvana who was a pleasure to make acquaintance. The views over Florence city are spectacular. The accommodation is very roomy, with the classic Tuscan building and feel. We were greeted by the host who explained the property and gave us some of their own produce, olive oil and honey 😊

Very large condo with airco, extremely cosy and super equiped: kitchen with oven and microwave. Bathroom with washing machine. Very quied in village center. Excellent location to visite Florence, 20 minutes by bus 7. Supermarket, butcher and bakery at 50m. Main square with busstop at 200m. Very nice landlady and host! To be recommended to friends and relatives
