Hello, we had a wonderful time in this hotel. The house is fully made from wood in the japanese way and very beautiful and located directly in the mountains. The owner and his family are very friendly.

This was a fantastic family experience in very authentic and classy Japanese ryokan. I loved the private onsen. The staff were all professional and exceptionally welcoming. The food was amazing.

Ties Campground was a wonderful place to stay as a family. We were hiking a number of days on the Nakasendo Way & returning to the campground each night was great! The place is very well set up with provisions for cooking and cleaning and the glamping tents are really beautiful, with plenty of warmth in the way of sleeping bags and doonas provided. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.

Hostel Yui An is unequivocally one of the best places our family has ever stayed!! The attention to detail in the restoration of this traditional farmhouse is absolutely remarkable. Our bedroom had the most spectacular views across the rice fields and down into the valley of Nagiso. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the shuttles to and from the train station made days hiking the Nakasendo Way efficient and convenient. THANKYOU Rey and Hiro for hosting us...it was the kids' favourite accommodation in all of Japan :)

We had the most wonderful stay with Rie and her family! Her and her partner had done an amazing job renovating an old farmhouse. We stayed two nights, but I wish we could've stayed longer! On both nights we had the dinner they offer, which was super delicious, would highly recommend doing that - and their homemade plum wine is a must too!

This is a very special place. It’s an old farm which is now a quaint hostel. The staff are very committed, friendly and helpful. We travelled with children and felt welcomed. The location is a little out of the way (the owner will pick you up and drop you off at the local train station), but it is very much worth it. Stay at least 2 nights and spend your time relaxing or going for walks in the area (spot the monkeys). The food is fantastic as well. Special thanks to Yuki, who our kids still talk about!

Such a lovely place! Amazing views, caring family which you can really feel part of, delicious dinner, very nice home made plum wine and als fun to do a sake tasting! The house has sweet and warm decoration and the solution for the cold winter nights is also perfect. Last thing to mention is the very good drop and pick-up service from the train station. We will definitely come back to this place if we are in Japan again!
