The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We arrived after the hotel restaurant had closed and the manager was so concerned that we wouldn't have something to eat for dinner that he personally drove us into town to a local restaurant. Our Japanese style room was relaxing with a beautiful view and by the end of our very short trip to Taiji, it felt like the staff were our good friends. Looking forward to returning.

The owner is a wonderful and very kind lady and the food was amazing. This was one of our best stays sure a 3 week trip through Japan. We only stayed one night but would stay longer next time. Would definitely recommend!

Everything about this accomodation was beyond my expectations. We arrived to a beautiful traditional room, guided to a private room for a wonderful evening vegetarian meal, and then walked the town until close of the temple. The futons were soft and comfortable, the room showed us how easy it would be to live under these conditions. Slept through the prayer session at the temple (unfortunately) at 6am but the breakfast was another marvellous meal in our private dining room.

Excellent place for relax and recharge after long day hiking from Kumano Kodo trail. Staff services are outstanding. Highly recommended.

Outstanding location and accommodation. Right at the beach, seems like a popular local surfing spot. Charming garden in front - taken care by a host - graceful older lady. Thanks you for your beautiful orchid flower that made us feel welcomed. House is spacious and has all amenities you need (fully equipped kitchen, wash machine, etc.).
