Gente d’aqui has an incredible location right next to the beautiful shore, with amazing views. The owner was incredibly helpful and went extra mile to help us organise additional activities. It is possible to get a massage on the property, which with the skilled massager, views, and sounds of waves was probably the best massage I ever had. There is a local bar right around the corner where we had a funny night with some great memories. Praia sete ondas just couple of minutes away with car, and boca do inferno is just couple of walking minutes away. All in all, I definitely recommend Gente d’aqui and love to return one day.

The property was a perfect fit for our family of 7! The rooms were spacious the lounging and dining area was superb. The direct view into the ocean made sunrises and sunsets truly special. The host was always available to assist and having someone cook breakfast was an absolute privilege - thanks Florinda! (Having a car rental is a must.)

We loved absolutely everything there. It is on a perfect spot, in a lovely village close to an amazing surf spot. Spacious and very well equipped. From the first day we felt home. Stayed in a clean, spacious ensuite pod equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle and washing up area. There was a drying stand as well. Outside chairs and a table. Swimming pool was lovely and had a fish and turtle pond next to it. Good breakfast and the evening meals were great, cooked by a private chef. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Very peaceful surrounded by trees, the waterfall and working farm. Erikson, the owner/ manager, was very responsive and provided information on things to do/ see. Highly recommend staying here but suggest need a high wheel base vehicle due to roads in the area.

Roça Saudade is in the Almada Negreiros Museum also... So it's the perfect place to stay in the center of the island. Joaquim (from roça) and Emanuel (from the restaurant) are amazing hosts. Would love to return.
