From the moment I arrived at the airstrip,the lodge had arranged for a driver to pick me up, to arriving at the lodge,the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind ,they made me feel right at home. The lodge is beautifully perched in the hills, offering stunning views of the surrounding forest and mountains. Waking up to the peaceful sounds of nature and seeing the morning mist drift through the trees was simply magical. The rooms at Kaara Mountain Lodge are spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. There’s a perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and eco-friendliness. I especially appreciated the little touches, like the cozy hot water bottles in the bed at night and the warm turndown service after a long day. The food was another standout ;fresh, delicious, and made with great care. Each meal, from the early breakfast before trekking to the hearty dinner in the evening, was a treat. The dining area itself is beautifully set, making every meal feel special. Most importantly, the lodge is ideally located for gorilla tracking, making the logistics incredibly easy. After an awe-inspiring day of encountering mountain gorillas, returning to the calm and comfort of Kaara Mountain Lodge was the perfect way to unwind and reflect on such a unique experience.

I rarely give such a high evaluation but this lodge and the staff absolutely deserve it! - complete organization of permits and transport - very delicious breakfast and dinner - awesome service from super friendly staff, they even cleaned our shoes after the trekking and were attentive all the time - very clean and well equipped rooms - there is everything you need I highly recommend this lodge to everybody who search comfort after returning from the gorilla trekking in Bwindi. This place is magic !

I recently stayed at the Rushaga Gorilla Tracking Lodge in Uganda, just a short walk from Bwindi National Park. The luxury cottage was spacious with a panoramic valley view, ideal for relaxation. The service was exceptional, thanks to the personal touch from the manager, Elizabeth, and her team. The food was a tasty mix of local and Western dishes, including vegetarian options. The lodge’s peaceful atmosphere perfectly complemented the wild surroundings, offering comfort amidst nature. It’s great value for money compared to other nearby lodges. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Bwindi, whether solo, with a group, or with family.

We can highly recommend the Neckview Lodge - the location including the view is a dream, it is very cosily furnished, totally clean, spacious, the staff is super nice, helpful and attentive and we were also delighted with the food. We felt completely at home & would have loved to stay longer in this great place ... definitely one of the best accommodations on our trip! We were really well looked after, taken on several nature and community walks through the area and accompanied on our gorilla trekking (to make sure everything went well). Thanks to the whole team and especially to Nelly & Ella - we would love to come back one day.

Cylia and all the staff were fantastic and made sure we didn't miss anything! We are two young women and we stayed at the Ruhija Gorilla Guest house for one night and then tracked with the gorillas the next day but we would have stayed longer! Our room was fantastic, spacious, clean and with two big comfortable beds. The dinner they cooked for us was great and Cylia is careful to fulfil your every wish. Before dinner we visited the village (an experience not to be missed) we met the local people and visited the school and the orphanage; all the people are extremely kind. Ivan was an incredible host. Not only did he sort out my gorilla tracking excursion at a very reasonable price, but he also came to Rwanda to meet me and collect the money since the permit has to be paid for in cash. I was a little apprehensive about handing over that amount of money but he went out of his way to allay my concerns and I found him extremely trustworthy. He also helped me with my onward travel plans. I can't recommend him enough.
