This was by far the best accommodation I rented during my visit to Spain. It is a very special place, dating from 1600, thick stone walls, huge wooden beamed ceilings. The owners met us at the property and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Its location near the Montaña Palentinas is excellent, with easy driving to fantastic mountain hiking. I would highly recommend this property.

Located in Santa María de Mave within the Palentina Mountains, this elegant hotel is set in a restored 12th century monastery. It offers a pretty courtyard, gardens and free internet connection.

The heated rooms at El Convento de Mave feature elegant décor. All feature a TV and private bathroom. Super rooms offer a rain-effect shower and a unique sound and lighting system. This was a stay that exceeded our expectations. Plenty of parking. Garden. Restaurant and cafeteria. All in an old convent restored and modernized with respect for the building's history, structure and arcitectural design. Astonishing! The room was to the garden side. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Dining was by attentive waiters and the meals of the memorable! Breakfast was the best we have had in Spain in years. Plenty and in very good quality. We would have loved a couple of days more in this shrine 👌
