Were provided BBQ grill, charcoal for our BBQ. They also helped us buy Waygu beef from their regular supplier. We went to Wonder Mall at Kakunodate to buy BBQ stuff. Beef is cheap with great marbling. Host were very prompt in responding to all our queries. Highly recommended to stay here if you are in Akita.

The hotel features family rooms. Everything in this hotel was amazing. I was flabbergasted at how wonderful the baths were, and how comfortable the futon actual is. Tatami mats are such a blessing for the feet for how soft they are. The complementary drinks such as tea or Coke was a great touch from when you come out of the bath. The location was spectacular as I got to see so much snow, and that too I got to experience an open bath in the snow was picturesque. I honestly miss it so much. There was availability of extra blankets as well but the bedding already provided was so soft I did not even notice the fact it was cold outside (there is a heater in the room as well). Breakfast was fantastic (I missed out on dinner so I cannot comment but that would probably be great as well), it was a buffet style with a lot of different Japanese breakfast dishes to try from, such as fish, mini hot dogs, miso and rice, croquettes etc, so much so I had three rounds of breakfast.
