Transfer between Ha Noi and Ha Long Bay, which takes 2.5 hours in a shared luxury minivan, can be arranged upon request at an additional fee. The boat itself was one of the nicest in the bay (if not the nicest). The first time you open the courtains, you are blown away by the view. The crew is absurdly attentive and helpful. The amount of food available is just obscene (especially during the daytrips). The activities are well recommended (Cat Ba is definitely worth seeing). I think the best option is a 2 night cruise - attend the daytrip on day 2 and stay onboard on day 3. Thank me later :)

As Ha Long Bay becomes increasingly crowded — with ports overflowing with tourists and caves packed to the point where there's barely space to walk and the main route is jammed with Cruises and Boats — the experience can start to feel overwhelming and uninspiring. Clean and nice, great food and the staff was super kind 💘 thank you Louis for you guidance and the fun facts you told us :)
