Beautiful views of the lake. Even able to take a boat ride if you wished too. Rooms were spacious and had its own pool. Very comfortable and luxurious. The staff went above and beyond for me. They surprised with an amazing birthday cake following my amazing Sri Lankan dinner which I was not expecting. This was due to me mentioning i was there as a birthday gift to myself. I felt so comfortable travelling there solo as a woman. Highly recommend this hotel. Loved the little library and peacocks on site. Even saw a crocodile pass in the lake.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Location is perfect, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is very aesthetically pleasing. We had a room in the adjacent building. It was compact, on ground level without a view or balcony (you get what you pay for and the price was reflective of not having these extras), but it was all we really needed and the bed and pillows were soooo comfortable! Shower was huge and the air con worked great. The hotel is situated down a side road off the main road, so we had no issues with noise and security was present day/ night. Breakfast is also worth a mention - a large selection to choose from and absolutely delicious. The pool is small, but so is the hotel, so often you have it to yourself. Loved that this hotel was ‘adult only,’ as it made the experience very peaceful. The staff were also very lovely and attentive. A couple hotel dogs onsite which was an absolute bonus for us. We loved seeing that these dogs were cared for, allowed to lounge around the hotel in the shade and cash in on some of our brekkys!

Absolutely everything! By a long way the best place we stayed anywhere in sri lanka. Stylish, relaxing, everything spotlessly clean, lovely chilled muic playing throughout, all of the staff couldn't be more helpful and on hand for your every need. The rooms were spacious and well appointed with high quality furnishings and toiletries, felt bit like you were in a spa. Ahanghama was one of our favourite places on our trip and definitely our favourite on the coast and the staff and owners had some excellent recommendations for our time there for delicious food and lovely sunset drinks!

The staff is absolutely incredible, always available and caring with a smile. The location of the premise is stunning, right on the ocean with direct access to a beautiful beach, while remaining private. Breakfast and food in general is 5 stars. The room is very big and clean. The bed is the most comfortable I've tried in a hotel. We had a massage in the hotel and it is recommended. Internet is was extraordinarily fast and reliable for remote workers. We just left Mosvold and we already want to return!

Good place with an unbeatable view. Staffs are super friendly and attentive. Food was great. Drink superb. Small problem with noise -- front room facing the sea can hear the waves (understandably), and the backroom (I booked the family suite) can hear the street noise, as well as aircon of the kitchen. After talking with us they turned off the kitchen aircon at our requested hours so problem solved. Overall very very nice. It's not easy finding a five star hotel on surfing beach, and this is it.
