The Hotel: A beautiful property with stunning original architecture and decorative details—truly candy for the eyes! The magnificent traveler’s palm trees in the courtyard were absolutely striking. Room: Very comfortable overall. Good a king-size bed, a spacious bathroom with enough amenities. Quietness: Despite being on a busy street, the inside of the hotel felt completely insulated from the noise of traffic. Room is very quite ( without the AC on) Location: Quite good. While the street itself isn’t particularly interesting, the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the city center. The walk is safe, even at night. Parking: A paid private parking lot was available at another property right next door , and the cost was quite reasonable.

Staff was extremely friendly and proactive. The hotel offers free bikes that you can rent to get around the city. Also, it is located just next to Mérida's most famous strip - Paseo Montejo - which hosts beautiful restaurants and cafes. The design and detail of the hotel are absolutely incredible!

This hotel is amazing. Simple but has everything. The staff is exceptional. I have seen staff being very helpful in other hotels but at Casa Tavera the staff goes above and beyond to accomodate the guests, help them plan the best visits and book tours for them. This hotel is really superb!! It's like stepping into another world. The grandeur, the decoration in every detail it's perfect. The staff is excellent and takes care for you as if you are their best familie. the hotel is situated at a nice square in the city centre. The room was very spacious and very very well decorated. At last but not least, the bed is super, maybe better than our own Hastings😁.

The pictures don’t to justice to this hotel. I was pretty amazed by the architecture and decoration. When you first enter the hotel you are received by a gorgeous tree. Then they show you the room and it was not only very beautiful, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our room was upstairs so we had a jacuzzi, I understand other rooms have a private pool (we will try those next time we come back). Locationwise, the hotel is one block away from a street full of restaurants and 2 blocks away from paseo de montejo which it’s an iconic street. As for amenities, we had breakfast in the restaurant which was very good (be sure to get the almond croissant), at night we had some cocktails at the bar which were also very very good. Overall, From start to finish it was a great stay.

One of the loveliest places I've stayed in all of Mexico and great value for the superb and unusual room. Highly, highly recommended. The staff were wonderful too. I'll be back if I ever get the chance to visit Mérida again.
