*Most bedrooms have lake views, or of the gardens. The hotel is a Grade II* Listed building, decorated in a traditional Country House style. I attended an afternoon tea birthday party and from the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional, friendly, down to earth and that was every single staff member. The grounds are beautiful and well worth exploring. I decided to stay the night rather than a long drive home in the evening and again, the room was perfectly presented with everything that I needed plus more. Cleanliness was superb and the view from the room was wonderful. Excellent shower.

All of the beautiful en suite rooms feature luxurious Egyptian cotton linen and sleek bathrooms with power showers. Applegarth Villa Hotel & Restaurant (Adult Only) rooms have free bottled water and digital radios. The property was beautiful in a reserved old building style. The breakfast room/dining room was gorgeous and the furnishings were stunning. Staff were lovely. It was just a few hundred metres to the Windermere strip shops, had private off road parking and the £3pp each way bus to Bowness where the lake cruises leave from was only a couple of hundred metres away. Breakfast was great and the staff very helpful with the luggage.

Staff was very nice and helpful.
