Search five-star hotels in Tyne and Wear

I don't ever give 5 stars. Nothing is perfect. However for a budget hotel Dunes was excellent. Clean and well kept room, very good staff. I needed an extra night and actually stayed 3 nights which they managed. If I have to go back to Whitley bay I would definitely use Dunes again.

Close to the town centre , free coffee and tea was a great bonus. Staff were really nice and welcoming ! Room was amazing like a mini apartment will definitely stay here again. 5 stars all round

Room was excellent very clean and comfortable especially the bed, location excellent and central to all amenities,Although I didn’t have a breakfast this time I know that breakfast is very good from past experience. Every time I visit Newcastle I always book into the Sandman as it is a excellent hotel to stay, staff are very helpful and friendly couldn’t ask for more. It’s 5 stars from me from arriving to leaving.

I would give this property and host MORE than 5 stars if I could. The property was immaculately clean throughout. Everything was there that we needed. Lovely touch from host with fresh flowers and cupcakes upon arrival. The host was more than helpful with everything and accomodated with no hassle. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and I will be using again in the future. I cannot thank the host enough for everything. Thanks again.

The staff were polite and so helpful. The room was clean and warm and we had a nice breakfast that was amazing 5 stars will look forward to staying again in the future
