Canadian family of four, needing a break (and fresh air) from Bangkok. We had a wonderful time at the Vala and felt welcomed from the second we arrived. I had sent a text ahead of time indicating that I had to follow a very complicated and strict medical diet due to cancer complications. The minute we arrived to our room, a staff member (P’Jib) from the restaurant came to see us and seek details about the diet. I was told that they would absolutely accommodate and they did, for 3 meals a day during the entire stay. The food was wonderful and I felt welcomed by all staff the entire time. To think that I had almost cancelled the trip because of this strict diet, assuming that the hotel would not want or be able to cater to this added complications. This place is a gem, so is P’Jib (I hope I am spelling her name correctly!) and all the staff at the restaurant, the reception desk and the cleaning crew. My only regret is that I wasn’t able to see P’Jib on our final day there in order to hug her one more time and let her know how much her kindness meant to me, (it was more than about the great food), and that her level of empathy for the difficult health journey I was on had been a breath of fresh air.

Reception and lobby staff well trained, perfect attitude, helped with everything, also staff at the breakfast, excellent.

We were staying here five nights for celebrating a happy 2025 start. The room with ocean view was fantastic in watching the sunrise and to see the new year down counting fireworks show. The reason we booked here for we google ‘what are the best resorts for kids and family in Hua Hin’ to organize our ‘resorts hopping trip’ with two small kids(6y,1y). Kids love the pool and its nearby beach. But I’ll say what they love most was interacting with the baby goats at their own farm. We visit baby goats every morning after breakfast and their eyes lit up in seeing these little cuties. You can also feed the hens or picking up free ranch eggs and bring home. But since we traveled overseas so we skip this activity. They also have buffalos 🐃 and a big rice farm attaching to the goats area. Apart from outdoor activities, this resort also have an indoor kids room for all sorts of board games, kitchen, painting, crafts activities. The breakfast buffet offers lots of different choices, they offer vegetarian section and lots of good healthy options for vegetarians. It seems like they know how to make vegetarian food, but with a pity after we tried their regular menu for lunch and dinner we decided not to eat here.

Free WiFi is available. The most impressive breakfast line ever! 🩷🫶🏻 most of everything I had was superbly delicious with great sight of pool and sea, especially the grilled pork sticky rice! Omg I could have five 🥹 The room I got was huuuge! Had a very comfortable rest as I didn’t even want to wake up also could request for more water, which was a great plus as I drink a lot.

The hotel in general was very spacious, the breakfast had lots of variety & was very nice. The staff were very helpful & friendly. The pool was lovely & right on the beach. The beach was quiet & the sea was clear & calm. Massage & restaurants on the beach a short walk away. Could easily get cheap taxis into Cha Am & Hua Hin if you wanted a bit more nightlife & both have lovely beaches. Two water parks in Hua Hin to visit.
