We liked it so much that we returned and stayed again! The bungalows are tucked away private so you feel as if you are completely alone, until you go to the restaurant for meals. Shout out to Juan Carlo for the amazing dinner service each evening at the Acacia restaurant! Not only did he remember our names but he had memorized our allergies, our food preferences and our drink preferences from day one! Eat at the restaurant, it’s the same price as in town but the quality is far far superior! The jacuzzi on the patios looking into the forests watching for sloths (yes there are sloths!!! Ekkk!) was pretty incredible! Overall it’s an amazing property and they do everything possible to ensure you are having a five star rainforest experience! You will not regret staying here.

From the moment you first walk into the Tifakara Hotel lounge, you begin to experience the highest quality in customer service offered by this charming, unique hotel, which just happens to be home to hundreds of birds and trees. My friend and I were early for check in; however, Allan, the receptionist during the morning shift, offered to store our bags, prior to welcoming us to use the pool as well as the restaurant. We headed to the pool and shortly after Allan came to tell us our room was ready. We stayed in the balcony room with views of the volcano and beautiful greenery from where we were able to watch all species of birds fly by us as if no one was actually there. Amazing! In the morning, as we entered the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by Dylan, the most charming and service oriented waiter I have encountered in a long time. The lady behind the counter greeted us and kindly introduced us to the choices we could make regarding fruit juice, coffee and delicious pastry. This hotel is for couples, families, people that are looking for a bird watching heaven that offers a night tour through a magical garden filled with frogs and a few snakes. Why not? Moreover, if you are looking to hit the Fortuna Waterfall early, this is the place to choose. Yes, beautiful infrastructure to say the least; nonetheless, to me the finest customer service there is. Enjoy your stay fellow travelers. Before I forget, last but not least; the girl that cleaned our room found clothes I had carelessly left behind. She immediately packed it for me in a small bag and made sure she gave it to me before I left the hotel. Sweet? Yes!

Everything was just perfect! The staff, animals, location, hot springs, food. We travelled with our 3 kids. Perfect spot for them also- in the check in the staff told all information about horse riding, collecting the eggs and when children can milk the cow. It was such a good experience for them, and for us also. Ps! We loved the omlette in the mornings, really good. All was clean and correct, the prices were acceptable, not overkilled. Ex. milksahkes, coctails and food- all was affordable on the site😊 We are gonna miss you guys and definitely when we are coming back to Costa Rica, we are 110% coming back to you. Thank you! Beautiful hotel, with the most stunning views across to volcano arenal. Felt incredibly special to stay there - and the staff were really really lovely. Food was great at the restaurant (we had a lunch and a dinner there - both excellent). Also beautiful gardens with frogs and animals and hummingbirds. Idyllic.

When we arrived I saw one of the most breath taking views ever. The volcano is so close and makes a crazy impression. I could just stare at it. I wish we could stay longer. Such a peaceful and calm environment, breath taking view on the volcano, well maintained gardens, fantastic pool. So much wildlife- we could hear hundreds of birds all the time. I recommend visiting nearby restaurants as there are so many just a few minutes away. The only thing I didn’t like was a dinner at the hotel restaurant- it was expensive and really not too tasty. Very „Americanized” menu. I would rather have something local and simple. Breakfasts were wonderful though.

Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Several warm pools for soaking and sipping a cocktail. Slides into one pool and the river. Big room with nice terrace (with outdoor bed and hammock, plus jacuzzi that we didn’t try. Set perfectly into the rainforest, with monkeys, birds, amazing wildlife. A wonderful end to a wonderful trip to Costa Rica.

The view is exceptional, the staff is very nice and the food in the restaraunt is very good. You can order tours to nearby locations and staff will help you managing that. The rooms are pretty basic, but comfortable and they have all one needs to have a relaxing holiday near nature. There is also a cool hiking trail through the jungle thdt circles back to the hotel and a swimming pool with an absolutely amazing view. Big thanks to Natalia and the rest of the crew for making our holiday so special!
