The staff were so friendly and made me feel super welcome. This made me feel so reassured seeing as I was travelling alone. The resident dogs were a wonderful addition and kept me company on my walks around the property. The pool was lovely which I had to myself throughout my stay. The cabin was clean and homely. The bed was so comfortable I slept wonderfully. I was awoken with bird song which made my morning and grounds of the property are great for a hike. If I was on monteverde again I would stay here no question. Peace and tranquility

Amazing. Exceeded our expectations. We came with our 6yr, 4yr and 10month old and we didn’t have a reason to leave the property for 3 days! The kids loved everything. The property has a lot of trails that are fun for both young and old to hike and spot animals and enjoy the view points. The food was amazing. All home grown or locally sourced in Monteverde. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. I’ve been disappointed with 5 star hotels. This place outperforms in terms of service and hospitality.

Good location, great views, good breakfast, and helpful staff. Every morning so many birds in the trees outside would wake us up with their chirping. So many beautiful birds: parrots, tucans, etc. Make sure to bring binoculars to see them. This was a bonus.

From the moment you first walk into the Tifakara Hotel lounge, you begin to experience the highest quality in customer service offered by this charming, unique hotel, which just happens to be home to hundreds of birds and trees. My friend and I were early for check in; however, Allan, the receptionist during the morning shift, offered to store our bags, prior to welcoming us to use the pool as well as the restaurant. We headed to the pool and shortly after Allan came to tell us our room was ready. We stayed in the balcony room with views of the volcano and beautiful greenery from where we were able to watch all species of birds fly by us as if no one was actually there. Amazing! In the morning, as we entered the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by Dylan, the most charming and service oriented waiter I have encountered in a long time. The lady behind the counter greeted us and kindly introduced us to the choices we could make regarding fruit juice, coffee and delicious pastry. This hotel is for couples, families, people that are looking for a bird watching heaven that offers a night tour through a magical garden filled with frogs and a few snakes. Why not? Moreover, if you are looking to hit the Fortuna Waterfall early, this is the place to choose. Yes, beautiful infrastructure to say the least; nonetheless, to me the finest customer service there is. Enjoy your stay fellow travelers. Before I forget, last but not least; the girl that cleaned our room found clothes I had carelessly left behind. She immediately packed it for me in a small bag and made sure she gave it to me before I left the hotel. Sweet? Yes!

Everything! The grounds are stunning, well laid out, each cabin perfectly situated amongst flowers and plants that attract butterflies and hummingbirds, and each has a view of Arenal volcano. Beds are super comfy, great shower, beautiful toiletries, free bug repellent. THE HOT SPRINGS!!! The farm, getting to milk the cow for fresh milk! Honestly, this place is out of this world.
