The room was HUGE, very stylish, our baby was very entertained by the floor to ceiling windows and built-in mirrors in the wardrobe. My wife was very much entertained by jacuzzi in the room.

Situé en plein cœur d'Escaldes, l'hôtel moderne Hotel Metropolis se trouve à seulement 150 mètres du quartier commerçant piétonnier d'Andorre, du célèbre spa Caldea de la ville et du nouveau centre... La gentillesse du personnel et les chambres confortables.

L'hôtel Xalet Bringué est situé dans le village d'El Serrat, au coeur des Pyrénées andorranes. Normally, Booking.com does me a dirty when booking places. I booked one night here and ended up staying for five. Upon my arrival I was met by staff and offered bag carrying. There is free parking out front ( snow brush and ice scraper available) or for 11 euros per night there is a garage. I had two dogs with me who slept in the vehicle, this was not an issue as all rooms are not road facing, if they had barked it would not have disturbed anyone. Just a two minute walk up the road is a trail to the river and park. Elleven minutes drive is Ordino Arcalis ski resort ( also free parking). My room had a heated floor, verypowerful shower that maintained a constant temperature always, big double bed, large TV with all apps, USB and plug sockets each side of the bed. Room has a fridge. The hotel's wifi is fast with a strong connection. Plenty of very nice towels, robes also at no additional charge ( makes a nice change). The room has a thermostat which has very little lag on bringing the temperature up or down, impressive in a large room. The cleaner is exceptionally thorough and the room was turned out beautifully every day even down to mopping the floors. The staff are totally on point, super helpful and accommodating. They arranged the veterinary appointment for my dogs travel back to UK at no extra charge also. My medical conditions ( allergies) were taken into consideration and my room allocated away from the restaurant ( note I did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment outside of breakfast). My room had a lovelly balcony with views down the valley and of the river cascading down the rocks. The Spa: I used this twice. Once it was busy and quite noisy and another time I had the place to myself which was Bliss. The Spa was an additional fee for 90minute session. The hot stone beds being my favourite. I spent an hour on one ( there are four) listening to audio books.

Quite simply the best place we've ever stayed! Such a warm welcome from the hosts who had thought of every detail to look after their guests and make it a wonderful stay. The house has been carefully restored and is beautiful, with very stylish interiors, artwork, gardens and terrace, as well as an incredible historic barn next door. We relaxed in front of a lovely fire in the evening, and after a restorative sleep in a very comfortable bed with gorgeous linen, we were treated to an incredible breakfast with local produce and homegrown/made jams and 'Pan con Tomate'. Thank you for going above and beyond to look after us and make it a stay (and birthday!) we will always remember! We hope to return.
