The view is breathtaking, with the sky giving an art spectacle at sunrise and sunset. I could also book local experiences through the hotel staff, which i highly appreciated. I wish i stayed more here because it was very peaceful, comfortable and relaxing.

Lujia Village is only 2 kilometers from the center of Guilin. It is one of the first 16 famous villages in Guangxi. They are also known for making tofu. 2) The hotel staff always went over and beyond for us. They helped us book our tour tickets, get a taxi where ever we were, prepared food that we want, and even did online shopping for us. They made the impossible possible for us especially when they were able to find the shirt that my son has been looking for. 3) We didn’t have to travel outside the village to find home-cooked dinner meal , especially after a day of sightseeing! Just about 3 minutes walk from the hotel is our favorite family restaurant. We ate there every night. 4) The inside of the hotel is newly renovated. It gave a vibe of simplicity and functional. I like that they have bathtubs in the rooms that we got. We even had access to the rooftop! 5) Their breakfast is so customizable! They always ask us what if we have any requests the day before breakfast. I personally enjoyed the Guilin Rice Noodles. What an incredible first experience in China!

We couldn't decide whether we should do the 4 hour Li River cruise but he suggested a different tour between Guilin and Yangshuo. We visited an ancient town, went on a bamboo boat up the river and stopped for lunch. The breakfast was a choice between Guilin rice noodles and toast. The villa was great and the electric ma Jong table and added bonus. It was cold because we came in Dec but each room had a heat pump so we were cosy

Although there is no elevator in the hotel, each floor isn’t very high—carrying my luggage up a few steps felt more like a light little workout, and it wasn’t a hassle at all. The owner was extremely thoughtful; when he saw I had a large suitcase, he proactively came to help, which instantly dispelled all my worries. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was as soft as the quilt at home, so I slept exceptionally well at night. Moreover, this old building without an elevator actually has a more cozy, homey vibe. The sound insulation is surprisingly good, and I couldn’t hear any noise from the corridor at all. The breakfast included freshly cooked porridge and side dishes, which were steaming hot and really warmed my stomach.
