Situated right by the shores of Lake Inari, Wilderness Hotel Inari & Igloos provides accommodation and activities. Equipped with a sauna and a shared lounge with bar, the hotel takes inspiration from Sami culture. The combination of modern house and igloo, which allows us to enjoy the starry night and northern lights comfortably inside the room. Close to lake, easy to hunt northern lights. Also loved the breakfast and dinner buffet.

Apukka Resort is in Apukka, just 15 minutes drive from Rovaniemi. The property features multiple saunas, including an ice sauna, igloo sauna and movable saunas.

Restaurant Aitta can be found on site. Aitta is specialized in Nordic cuisine with modern twist and uses locally produced ingredients. This resort is extremely well run and is picturesque lakeside. The property is spread out across many acres and some of the activities are operated from the surrounding properties (reindeer farm and dog sledding) and are walking distance. The resort requires vehicles to get to and is not near the town of Robaniemi. Transportation will need to be arranged. We rented a car and it was easy to get to from the town.

The award-winning Restaurant Aanaar is located in Wilderness Hotel Juutua. The hotel also offers activities and meeting facilities. The hotel is by a beautiful river, close to the Siida Museum, and near trails. It has comfortable common areas with close views of the river. The in room sauna was a delight. And the room was spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Stores and cafes were just a short walk away.
