This hotel was the best stay of our 3 weeks in Japan. The service was super nice and made sure we felt taken care of at any time. The breakfast was okay, nothing out of the world and we didn't try the dinner so no idea how that is. But the onsen facilities are great, even though we mostly chilled in our private onsen on our balcony. Other than onsen you can grab free drinks at the coffee bar, play table tennis or just walk the labyrinth-like hotel floors. The rooms are huge, with a huge bed and huge modern TVs. For one night we downgraded from our valley view room to a traditional Japanese room but I gotta say, that was not worth it. Would rather pay 100$ on top to have my big room with private onsen again. Thankfully, staff arranged that for us. We enjoyed the stay so much that we will come back for our honeymoon next year. Can't wait!

Outside the hotel was surrounded by snow wall which was great experience for us. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very polite.

Views are very beautiful and the balcony was also very nice. The room is spacious and has all the usual needs. Free parking which is great, Onsen although we didn't use it and wasn't tattoo friendly. Laundry room was also useful

What the most impressive for me is their goodwills to give full support to me and make sure that I am in safe even I made a small burnt damage at their table. Also, without charging me. Strongly recommended.

The new building was renovated in April 2017 and boasts spacious rooms with an elegant decor. The location is very convenient if you want to go to Goshiki no Mori, in front of the hotel you already can see the Mt Bandai! The dinner and breakfast is also very nice. The onsen is very big and comfortable.

This hotel has an absolutely spectacular location, perched on the side of a ravine. All the rooms seem to face outwards into this incredible space, so you really feel in close contact with nature. We were lucky to be there at the height of autumn leaf colour too. We had a lovely welcome from the staff when we arrived. They were exceptionally helpful re sending our larger bags onward by takkubin. The public onsen is stunning, with a wonderful outside onsen too, overhanging the waterfall and stream. We booked one of the private baths, which was fabulous, and I would highly recommend it. There are several different private onsen, so, with a bit of forward planning, you could try several different ones, even in short stay - for the more extreme onsen lovers perhaps! The restaurant was excellent. I am very glad we booked for dinner, which was a feast, and combined table service with an extensive buffet. Breakfast was delicious, buffet style. Everything about our stay was comfortable and things went very smoothly. We travelled to Aizuwakamatsu by train, and onwards to the hotel by taxi. We were only there one night, and would love to return.
