Set just 41 km from Kanazawa Castle, Shogawa Onsen Yumetsuzuri provides accommodation in Tonami with access to an open-air bath, a garden, as well as a lift. We are not Japanese and this place is the real deal. The learning curve was a little high at first but much of the Info is in english. We loved the two big beds, We loved the hot pools, we loved walking along the river for hours and looking at the view. There was a shuttle to take back to the shinkansen in the morning. I would come again and stay longer. I loved that the room has a big closet and a hall separating the bath from the room.

Hot spring was amazing and good to calm down. The room was clean and the staff super friendly. All in all, a great stay to calm down and relax.

Toyama Excel Hotel Tokyu is just one km from Toyamajo Castle and a 5-minute drive from Toyama Prefectural Suiboku Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. It is a 20-minute drive from Toyama Airport. The hospitality presented by the reception staff is excellent. Buffet breakfast was good and tasty, and when we wanted to keep our luggage at the lobby for full 8 hours while waiting for our flight, they do so with a smile and without questions. Definately our next go to connecting hotel in Japan. Price is affordable for the services that you get. Location is very strategic, right smack in middle of town and 5 minutes walk to train station.

Breakfast was included in our stay and had many delicious options. On the 4th floor there were quite a few nice restaurants. We ate at the sushi restaurant for dinner and enjoyed our meal. We would definitely stay here again.
